A recent study published in Communications Medicine examined the prognostic value of the cardiothoracic ratio (CTR) in people with CKD. What is the Cardiothoracic Ratio (CTR) The cardiothoracic ratio (CTR) is a measure of the ratio between the width of the heart and the width of the chest cavity at the level of the body’s widest point.
